I have lower back pain problems that are so far minor but I am worried about progressing further. While I am obviously trying other solutions, such as exercises, etc, I do need to spend a lot of time sitting down. I have a butterfly chair (cushioned) left over from boarding school. Now I'm wondering - does it provide good posture for your lower back? Or am I better off being in a chair with good lower-back support, which I have?

I am not looking for a folding kind, just a sturdy fixed frame.

When I lived in a dorm one of my friends down the hall had a seriously comfortable butterfly chair. I remember I slept in it once in awhile when my roommate was occupied. There are many exercises I want to do. I want to do a push up, sit up, butterfly breath, chair squat and sit back properly. Also how many should I do in a day? What time of day should I do these exercises? Will these exercises build up muscle or not? I am 13 and male by the way. Please help & Thanks And what should my warm up be before doing any of these exercises?

I have bought some bent plywood chairs (they look like Arne Jacobson butterfly chairs) from a junk shop, trouble is they are painted blue. some of the paint is chipped and I can see that they were not this colour originally; I'd love to get the original wood back but am worried about damaging them

Ok, I am looking for a new chair. Not neccessarily NEW, but...a new look. I was looking at either getting a butterfly chair type of chair (metal frame, bold color, comfy) or just getting a cover for my old chair (not very fat, sorta slim arm chair, no wings). Any one have any good ideas as to the best places to get either of these for a good price? Oh, yeah - I was looking at bolder colors, as opposed to pastels. Thanks!! (ps, i need answers fast!!)
